Finance / Operations Analyst - Full-time

New York

Paravel is at an exciting moment of growth, as we aim to become the first 100%

sustainable travel lifestyle brand. In the past year, we've launched the first fully

sustainable wheeled carry-on, sustainable canvas bags, and an upcycled sustainable

tote, along with expanding our global presence through significant marketing initiatives.

Even in the midst of economic headwinds from worldwide lockdowns, Paravel has

increased revenue year-over-year. To support this trajectory, we are looking for a

Financial Analyst / Operations Guru who is adept at quantitative and qualitative

analysis. This person should not only have consummate analytical skills and fluency in

sales, finance, and operation principles, but also the self-starter attitude of someone

who can analyze data, draw conclusions, and implement the solution. If you are

methodically analytical and organized, and eager to make a tangible difference in a

fast-growing startup please reach out.

What you will do:

  • Assist with weekly tasks including pulling financials, creating reports, and updating ERP
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis for sales, marketing, and operations
  • Apply payments, log sales, and clean up ERP data
  • Analyze sales reports for rate of sale, account health, areas for potential upsell, and conduct margin analysis
  • Help with month-end tasks including closing financials, analyzing metrics, digging into variance in operating model
  • Run shipping reports, create shipping quotes and estimated arrival dates

What qualities and skills do you possess?

  • 2 years financial/operations experience; Fortune 500, consulting or startup preferred
  • Financial planning and analysis skills strongly preferred
  • Retail, CPG or DTC experience in an operations role a plus
  • Expert level of proficiency in Microsoft and ability to quickly learn ERP applications (esp. advanced Excel)
  • Flexible in adjusting and reprioritizing in order to meet changing needs
  • Team player with strong work ethic and drive for results
  • Eager to contribute to an organization at all levels, a no task is too small attitude
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced, and schedule-driven environment
  • Disciplined, extremely organized, deadline-driven, high attention to detail, and proactive
